thoughts

interesting things we can find in the polish news... as usual...she drove her car using her legs all because she had to talk on two mobile phones simultaneously and second which I picked from the whole set: Mr President Kaczyński postponed his agreement to give some French medals to some important people who are his political opponents.
to sum it up - In one hand it is good that I stay here in other I miss I guys!

more music

Udi son of Zeevik plays also in this band: check it out! it's hot:)

The Compromises

Yesterday I was on very interesting gig although for a first few minutes it looked like a not really interesting mistake. We (Magda, Adir and Me) entered an empty bar (The Ozen Bar in TLV) where some guys were preparing to the concert which I thought has started already.
We were three tired people tryin not to fall asleep so such a situation that there was nothing special to see/listen yet confused us a bit. But fortunately when the show started we were more than delighted (well, I hope that other two will agree).
Zeevik's son is a tuba player which first of all look really crazy - guy with a giant instrument which surrounds him, is above his head, and so on wow. Udi is a very good looking and handsome man, with some craziness and happiness which you can observe and almost touch. Other members of The Compromises are also unique - vocalist looks like a one of the guys from The Flight of the Conchords (this with longer hair).
Drummer made me laugh whenever I looked at his funny face - so focused on the performing. Second vocalist and guitar player reminded me Tsarist officers don't know how to explain it (you know all this stuff like beard, blue eyes, gentle, nice face, etc.). About the music - just listen to this! I bet you'll fully appreciate it:)

okay that's all for now - Im heading to the bathroom and then the kitchen and outside to Shenkin street.

greetings from Brasil Street!:)

Hod HaSharon

Okay, I'm in. 25 Celsius degrees during the day. The flight was okay although the most important thing, which in my opinion, is air in the plane wasn't;) fresh, cold (air condition was poor) . I couldn't fall asleep so I was reading very carefully Gazeta Wyborcza - my last paper version during upcoming months... Thinking about the Warsaw 1st line underground which after 25 has been finished. Yay! Hooray! Then (around 4 AM!) we went to the restaurant to eat some breakfast. Nothing really special - some croissants, coffee, and juice. We stayed there till 8AM.

My hosts Henia and Zeevik are cool and really warm people. We've been to the cinema on the brand new Woody Allen's movie: Barcelona quite interesting with a fine written scenario. It was funny to watch the movie with different subtitles than usual:D

Btw what I noticed here is that Saturday's evening is almost as important as Friday's (people meet together drink coffee, talk, spend time in the cinemas). The room was full. During the projection some unexpected thing occurred - intermission somewhere in the middle of the action - trick which force people to buy more popcorn and coke. Okay not all of the people stood up and went to buy somethin' to eat. It was minority which did so but still. I must admit that for a moment I was surprised and thought that somethin' has happened with the tape, but after a while I understood the reason.
The flat in which I live is superb, my host collected a lot of interesting things (like statues of the elephant, interesting toys from all over the world, masks, etc.)inside, which shows their good taste.
The view from the terrace on the West Bank is simply astonishing!!!. Both during the day and night

Tomorrow I will have to try the train connection - hope I won't get lost on my way to the train station, which is approx 2km from the place where I stay.
See you guys:)

some news

Here you will find the whole article about the upcoming event in Israel, which I find quite important. (if you want more than this one underneath click: Israel )

Israel's Livni: coalition by Sunday or elections

By ARON HELLER – 16 hours ago
The Associated Press
JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel's Prime Minister-designate Tzipi Livni on Thursday gave potential coalition partners three days to join a new government under her leadership or face the prospect of new elections.

Livni, who has until Nov. 3 to put together a parliamentary majority, informed Israeli President Shimon Peres of her decision.

"I know that you have to pay and I am willing to pay prices to form a government," she told Kadima party members at their headquarters Thursday. "But I am not willing to pay any price or to cross a line I deem to be irresponsible."

It was unclear whether Livni will stick to the Sunday deadline or if it is a case of political brinksmanship.

Since being elected to head the Kadima party last month, Livni has met almost daily with potential partners who have made stiff demands in exchange for their support.

Livni has already secured the backing of the left-of-center Labor party, after promising its leader, Ehud Barak, would serve as her top deputy. She also is likely to keep the Pensioners party in the government.

But the ultra-Orthodox Shas party wants Livni to promise she will not negotiate over the future of Jerusalem — a condition that would make a final peace deal with the Palestinians impossible.

Livni could turn to the smaller, dovish Meretz party — which has expressed willingness to join the government. But that would still leave her with a minority government and alienate hawkish members of her own party.

No single party has an outright majority in the 120-seat parliament.

Under Israeli law, if Livni does not form a coalition by Nov. 3, the country will almost certainly face early elections, more than a year ahead of schedule.

Peres could ask another politician to try to form a government. However, as leader of the largest party in parliament, Livni is the only candidate with a realistic chance of doing so.

Opinion polls have indicated the hawkish Likud party would sweep to power if elections were held now.

Kadima chose Livni a month ago to succeed Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who is leaving office to battle corruption charges.

Livni, 50, a former lawyer and one-time Mossad agent, could become Israel's second female prime minister after Golda Meir, who served from 1969-1974.

As foreign minister over the past two years, she has formed a strong bond U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and served as Israel's chief negotiator with the Palestinians. She also is popular in Israel because she is seen as clean and honest.

not much

not much time has left, not much air to breathe, not much moves to make
so soon it came, so expectedly/unexpectedly, both are right, both are true,
does it make sense? does it mean anything to you dear reader?
what can I say, what can I do... be and breathe, and act, run run run...

first and a very brief entrance/introduction note:)

hello guys!

I'm slowly (very, very slow) preparing myself and my stuff to the trip.

I hope to update you here about all the important events from my stay
in IL.
Sometimes
I'll try to post some photos and other stuff also. Btw. sorry for the all potential mistakes made here - me and my grammar (doesn't matter in which language I speak;/write) are totally two different beings;)

Although I promised myself to practice this language there will be some days (I know myself;) when I will probably make some comments or other stuff in my mother tongue so prepare yourself;) it may be confusing;)

So... let's see how it will work:)
